playdate.kButtonMenu && playdate.kButtonLock

The playdate is missing a select/start button, I think it might be interesting to allow games to override those if needed. If the lockButton state is too encroaching, maybe just the Menu button, that could be a really useful modifier for projects that have complex input schemes, or pause states.

There was a long discussion about this back in March 2020, suffice to say it didn't happen. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

That said, the ability to have a few of our own items in the menu came out of it. So not all bad news.
