This is awesome! I've been really wanting to implement a Z machine on the Playdate, so that I can bring over all my favourite text adventures including Trinity, Suveh Nux and The Gostak, but have been busy with other projects this far.
I had also considered implementing a Z Machine for Playdate but in a world where Baulder's Gate 3 and Starfield exist .. well you know. I also would like to implement a TADS interpreter which would instantly bring hundreds of text adventures to Playdate. Anyway, I would encourage you to pursue the Z Machine - that would be great.
