Crank if touching a sprite

in pulp I'm making a game and there's a bit where you have to go through a broken wall to progress,and I'm wondering if there's a way to go next to the wall,and use crank to break it so you can go to the next level?Ive got it working so you have to mash the B button but is there a way to use the crank?

Presumably you have mashing the B button working with the player cancel event. Have you tried using the crank event instead?
