Hello everyone!
I'm excited to share with you my first playdate project, called Crong. It's a game that resembles Pong and has the following features:
- 1 player mode
- 2 player mode
- background music
- saved high scores
- level selection
- music volume options
- background animation
The aim of this project was to learn game development. I am a software engineer, but I have never made a video game before. During the process, I discovered many new things. The gameplay is basic, but I wanted to keep it simple to have enough time to develop all the features outside the gameplay. It's not perfect, but for me, it's a huge achievement to release a side project.
