Does anyone have experiences with chess engines on Playdate?

Hi all, I recently pre-ordered my Playdate and I'm looking to get into some non-commercial development. My first game I'm hoping to make would be chess-centric, and rather than have to assemble my own chess engine/AI, I'm looking into using some open-source ones like Sunfish (in Lua) and Sabertooth (in C).

If anyone has tried this, I'd love to hear about how it went. I'm not sure how the computational requirements of a chess engine would handle on Playdate's hardware. Alternatively, if you're interested in this too, let me know if you want to work in parallel to compare notes/ideas! Thanks everyone :slight_smile:
