Framerate drops when moving crank with mouse

I'm using the Playdate Simulator on Windows 10. When running any project (both C and Lua), the framerate seems to drop significantly when moving the crank with the mouse. It also happens when moving the accelerometer with the mouse. This does not happen when using the crank speed slider to the left of the crank. Here is a video that demonstrates the problem:

I don't think it's related to the crank but to the simulator UI in general. When I start using any dropdown menu for example the FPS drop from 30 to around 20. Since you interact with the UI when you use the crank and accelerometer with the mouse my guess is that it's coming from the same underlying issue.

Weirdly, I get some lag if I press the D-pad or the A/B buttons using my keyboard, but not if I click them with my mouse. It's not nearly as noticeable as the other UI slowdowns though.

Thanks for the report, I think I know what's going on here and I'll try to get it fixed up.
