Simulator Version: 2.6.2
PlayDate hardware is connected and unlocked (it makes a happy bing when connected) but the device menu is all disabled.
Going to need more information that Wind 11 and SDK 2.6.2. because that works fine for a lot of people.
Are you running mirror or anything?
two simulators open at the same time?
attached with a debugger?
is its a power only USB cable? (Not all USB cables have data wires in the)

All good questions. I'll check it, there could have been more than one simulator running.
I think you are onto something with this:
I've just tried connecting my phone to the lappy with the same cable and it doesn't seem to be a data cable.

If you use the official cable that came with the playdate you should be good
