I have posed this question once before but I am currently working on an RTS and I need more detailed characters and sprites not just the 8 x 8 characters I have seen people do this before does anyone know how?
Yeah, there are two ways, depending on what you mean. You can create sprites out of multiple tiles that move together (there are a few posts from the Pulp devs on how to do this floating around), or you can swap in higher-rez sprites after the fact.
In other words, the second option is to export your game to PDX, find the 8x8 file for your sprite, and replace it with a 16x16 sprite. I havent done that yet, but I think there is a guide around for that as well.
