It’s been a while since my last post, but I’ve started working on a new application. As the title suggests, I’m developing an app to learn Hiragana and Katakana on the Playdate. I think the device is perfect for this—distraction-free, unlike a phone!

It’s only my second devlog, so I’d love to hear your feedback. Is it too long? Too boring? Not technical enough? My goal was to share the steps of development, and I dive into my biggest challenge so far: creating a custom crank-based keyboard. It’s a lot more fun than a traditional keyboard, but also more challenging (and rewarding!) to develop.
I’ve attached some screenshots of my progress. I hope this app sparks some interest!
