Hi @james - I was getting bad screen tearing before over Mirror for full-screen 50 FPS drawing. I didn't actually realise there was a know limitation before? So this should be fully fixed here (when 2.7.X is ready for another attempted rollout)? Thanks! - Tim

Yes that problem should be reduced or eliminated in 2.7

In my experience 50 fps can work, but is even more important to use a short, quality usb cable, not using a USB hub,

Both the Debian and Fedora links are dead, 404s. Perhaps a sign you should keep your files somewhere like Github when the site and its links are unreliable. Literally nowhere else to get them. Being the gatekeeper is a bad idea if you can't properly keep the files up. What if I needed an older file, where would I get that? Y'all need a repository yesterday.

Looks like this shows a full list?

More generaly, all Panic files ever can be found in the Panic File Museum.

Here the 404 errors seem to come from a missed naming convention, where the files name should apparently start with a capital letter (should be "Mirror" instead of "mirror" per the names of the other files in this directory).

Consequently, both linux links on the Mirror front page pointing to the /Mirror-latest.deb and /Mirror-latest.rpm respectively resolve to fetch a file stored as /Mirror-1.3.0.x86_64.deb or /Mirror-1.3.0.x86_64.rpm which do not exists currently in this repository.

An easy fix I figure for @james .

Hey, there is a mirror for Mirror, hot dang. Thanks. Maybe once the links are fixed, a link to this mirror could be added too? Def tried looking earlier and came up empty handed

Ha, yeah, the only way I found out about The Panic File Museum is because it's been indexed by search engines, so querying my search engine with site:download-cdn.panic.com/mirror/Linux/ indicated there was a file index there. Though, I can understand why they hide it considering the flashing notice in the corner: "Note: old software is unsupported."

Ha, you're craftier than me, sir. Nice find, got the app installed no problem on Fedora.

The case on the filenames has been fixed. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Is Playdate Mirror based on Lua as well? I wanted to see if I could run it on an Ambernic device using Box86 or some ARM translation and wanted to know where to begin.

It's a native app. I know the simulator can run on steamdeck. Not sure if usb connection is supported

What would the simulator running on steam deck have to do with running it on Arm. The steam deck is just an x86-64 Linux laptop with a game controller chassis.
