As the Playdate itself is already out, you can't make any hardware changes to it, but you can to the unreleased stereo dock. That's where the NFC reader/writer comes in. This is the same technology behind the Nintendo Amiibos and the Skylander characters, and it would be a cool little thing to add to the Playdate games too. Panic could even include a couple yellow NFC cards that have the Playdate logo on them for those that don't really know what they are. Maybe they could be used to store different saves for games that could be transferred from one system to another, or be used to summon different characters in some fantasy RPG game that could come free with the Stereo dock. There are tons of things you can do with NFCs. Please consider adding an NFC reader/writer to the Stereo dock!
