Sideloaded installation process fails if zip includes certain files

@robbie? (Robbie Trencheny#4800 on the Playdate Squad discord server) let me know that they could not sideload the Daily Driver (Demo) and I was able to reproduce it.

Bug

  • Sideloaded installation process fails if zip includes certain files

Repro

  1. sideload offending zip to developer website
  2. refresh games list
  3. download completed 100%
  4. installation stopped at 14%
  5. "Download Error"
    • should be "Installation Error"?

The problem

  • In the old zip there was a symlink (filename <space-character>rots) which was a link out of my images folder to my rendering folder from a long time ago

Workaround

  • Removing this file from the zip means it can install correctly

Observation

  • The old zip with the symlink could be installed manually OK
    • either uploaded from the Simulator
    • or copied across in USB mode

Notes

  • A new zip has been uploaded to itch that works correctly with the website sideload feature

Thanks for the report. I think this is just about the space character in the filename (and the upload being zipped). Whether it's a symlink or not doesn't matter. We'll fix it!
