My friends and I started working on an idea of a J-RPG for playdate. After pivoting on the story, we've landed on this idea. The title is: let's circle back to the demonic uprising. It's a horror-comedy game where you play as a project manager at the Ministry of Normalcy Enforcement and Yield (MoNEY) - a secretive government agency that fights demonic incursions.
Think about it as a pokemon-style battles, where you choose the right team member to fight a demon. As any bureaucratic work environment, you will also need to fight your own battles by attending meetings, conference calls, etc. and the character uses his bureaucracy attacks.
We would love to get some early feedback on the concept and how it's looking so far. We've focused a lot on getting the game engine ready and some performance improvements. Before we sink too deep into this concept, we thought it would be better getting some feedback about it.
This is the opening screen. (Hopefully the conversion to GIF didn't make it too weird looking)
And waking up at your apartment in the morning. Converting the video to gif made it too fast... I swear the animation is smoother and slower than that
Thank you in advance for your comments!
