Hi everyone!
I’ve recently started working with the SDK, and I wanted to share a prototype of my very first project for the Playdate: Near Perfect Pitch.
It’s an audio-based puzzle game where you play as a Quality Control employee at a string manufacturing plant. The core mechanic is built entirely around the Crank: you listen to a reference tone, pluck the string (visualized with real-time physics), and use the crank to adjust the tension until the pitch matches perfectly.
I'm looking for feedbacks on the "game feel"—is the crank tuning responsive and the difficulty curve (including the string breaking) fair? I’ve also noticed that the volume on the built-in speaker, especially for the lower notes, feels a bit low. Any feedback on that?
Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
