Prevent console sleeping during my game

I am using windows SDK, but the issue is on a playdate console.

I am working on a game that uses the accelerometer to control the player.
I don't have a playdate but was testing it on a friend's console.
In the middle of playing the console went to sleep. Is there a way to prevent the console from sleeping?

I've search through the dev forum, and the Inside playdate for lua, but I haven't found a way to stop the console from sleeping or details on why it would be sleeping.
