In Pulp, you can only use 8x8 pixels per sprite.
It's simply a specific Pulp limitation.
There are ways to simulate a 32x32 player if you wanted to look into it- But it isn't as ideal as just using an 8x8 player and improvising.

because the idea of pulp is excellente but ....
I don’t think this is going to change. I believe this was intentional, therefore not an area of improvement.
Pulp was intentionally made to handle specifically 8x8 sprites

Pulp is meant to be simple and easy to use, increasing the sprite size is significantly affecting the original concept

Maybe check out the full Playdate SDK, then you can make whatever resolution sprites you like
